Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our Charlottesville community. You will complete maintenance tasks, perform basic repairs across plumbing, electrical, and appliances, and assist with painting and refurbishing projects.

You’ll support HVAC, water, and mechanical systems, run preventative maintenance, and keep tools and inventory organized. Additionally, you will handle suite make-ready preparation, follow OSHA and safety standards, participate in drills, and

• Complete assigned maintenance tasks and work orders.
• Perform basic repairs (plumbing, electrical, appliances, fixtures).
• Assist with painting and refurbishing projects.
• Support HVAC, water, and mechanical system maintenance.
• Perform preventative maintenance and safety checks.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and repair inventory.
• Support carpet and floor care as needed.
• Assist with suite make-ready preparation.
• Follow OSHA, fire safety, and infection control standards.
• Participate in emergency preparedness and fire drills.
• Drive community vehicle as assigned.
