Job summary

Simon Property Group in McAllen, TX, is seeking a Maintenance Worker responsible for troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and building systems across the mall. The role requires performing a range of interior and exterior maintenance tasks to keep the property safe and operational.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of maintenance experience, ability to read plans, basic carpentry, electrical, plumbing skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 2–3 years building maintenance experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Inspect facility and troubleshoot/repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on interior/exterior areas, including painting, drywall, lighting, and flooring.
• Maintain logs and inventories, plan preventive maintenance, and ensure safety compliance (OSHA).
• Coordinate with other departments for events, cart placements, and property upkeep.
• Maintain cleanliness and perform exterior custodial tasks as needed.
