Job summary

Simon Property Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician at Prien Lake Mall to troubleshoot, repair and perform preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing systems and related structural elements of the center.

The role requires hands-on experience with building maintenance, ability to read plans and schematics, and a commitment to safety. You will perform interior/exterior repairs, assist events, manage basic tools, and maintain logs and records.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; technical training is a plus.
• 2-3 years of building maintenance experience across carpentry, HVAC, electrical, mechanical and plumbing.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, plans and schematic drawings.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Inspect facility regularly, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Perform interior/exterior maintenance and minor repairs including painting, drywall, lighting and carpentry.
• Operate equipment for preventive maintenance and keep the property clean.
• Assist Marketing for events and Local Leasing with cart placement and repair.
• Maintain inventory systems, records and safety data sheets; ensure safety compliance.
• Inspect air handling units, belts, filters and grease components; document activity.
• Perform exterior custodial duties as needed and manage trash/recycling.
• Take on additional maintenance duties as assigned.
