Job summary

The GEO Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and repairs across our facilities. You will work under general supervision to handle plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and related tasks, ensuring all systems run smoothly and safely.

Ideal candidates have at least two years of maintenance experience, a valid driver''s license, and strong communication skills to coordinate with residents and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years general maintenance and/or related construction trade.
• Must have knowledge of equipment necessary for repairs.
• Able to perform general plumbing, carpentry, mechanical and electrical repairs.
• Active, valid driver''s license.
• Effectively communicate with residents and staff; react quickly in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Maintains facility maintenance (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, landscaping) as directed.
• Maintains security and control of all tools.
• Follows maintenance safety procedures and ensures compliance.
• Responds to maintenance requests promptly to keep facility safe.
• Maintains maintenance logs, tool inventories, MSDS, chemical inventories.
• Conveys residents'' communications to supervisors for preventive measures.
• Runs errands to pick up supplies as needed.
• Communicates with residents and staff professionally to maintain positive relations.
• Participates in staff meetings to share observations and improve operations.
