The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking a maintenance specialist to join a dedicated team responsible for preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance across facilities. You will oversee supplies, supervise inmate maintenance staff, and perform carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repairs to keep buildings safe and functional.

Ideal candidates have strong communication, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety in a structured environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years general maintenance or related construction experience.
• Valid, active driver's license.
• Able to perform plumbing, carpentry, mechanical and electrical repairs.

Responsibilities

• Operate and oversee preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance of facilities.
• Survey jobs and ensure materials and tools are available.
• Direct and inspect inmate maintenance staff; provide technical assistance.
• Carry out carpentry repairs to doors, windows, walls, flooring, roofing, etc.
• Repair plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and related systems.
• Perform electrical work including fixtures and wiring.
• Execute minor construction tasks with hand and power tools.
• Complete mechanical maintenance of facility machinery, motors, and vehicles.
• Assist in maintaining security of assigned inmates.
