Job summary

U-Haul International, Inc. is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician to use electrical, plumbing, HVAC and general maintenance skills across multiple sites.

You will inspect, repair, and upgrade buildings, coordinate with other technicians, and complete work orders efficiently. The role offers on-site work in Texas (Austin area), a competitive benefits package, paid training, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical, A/C, HVAC, plumbing or landscaping.
• Valid driver’s license.
• D.O.T certification (can be sponsored by U-Haul).
• Must be 18 or older.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and build new buildings.
• Perform general maintenance, installation, repair and service.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and semiannual roof inspections at various sites.
• Effectively work with a variety of hand/power tools.
• Pool knowledge with other Facility Maintenance Technicians to accomplish complex projects.
• Complete work requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Keep track of company truck and gas card.
• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
