Job summary

U-Haul International, Inc. is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician to maintain and improve building facilities across sites. You will work with other technicians to complete projects and learn new skills through hands-on practice, with emphasis on safety and reliability.

The role features on-site work in Indianapolis, opportunity for skill development, and access to U-Haul University training programs as part of career growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical, A/C, HVAC, plumbing or landscaping.
• Valid driver’s license.
• DOT certification (can be sponsored by U-Haul)

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and build new buildings.
• Perform general maintenance, installation, repair and service.
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and semiannual roof inspections at various sites.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools.
• Collaborate with other Facility Maintenance Technicians on complex projects.
• Complete work requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Keep track of company truck and gas card.
• Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
