Job summary

Aurora Health Care in Wisconsin seeks a Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems and medical equipment, utilizing CMMS and following safety protocols. You will read blueprints, inspect doors, HVAC, pumps and other mechanical systems, and respond to emergencies.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and up to two years of maintenance experience.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Driver's License required.
Less than 2 years’ experience in equipment maintenance.
Basic computer skills such as CMMS, building automation system, Microsoft Office.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Performs facility and equipment maintenance aligning with codes and standards; documents in CMMS.
Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs mechanical equipment (motors, pumps, conveyors, doors, boilers, HVAC, controls).
Maintains and repairs patient care equipment (beds, wheelchairs, carts, tables).
Maintains mechanical/electrical systems (pneumatic tube, HVAC, refrigerators, water systems, etc.).
Performs routine to minimally complex general maintenance (grounds, carpentry, painting, snow removal).
Responds to emergencies (leaks, floods, power outages, equipment failures) as directed.
Responds to building occupants' requests; conducts zone maintenance rounds and communicates status of actions.
Conducts preventive maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
Inspects and repairs fire doors, hardware, firewalls, and smoke partitions.
Reads blueprints and manuals to complete assignments.
