Job summary

The Humane Society of Tampa Bay is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to upkeep the property's buildings, grounds, and systems. You will diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues, manage work orders, and protect safety standards.

With 2+ years in facilities maintenance, you will keep common areas clean and safe, assist with landscaping, and ensure reliable operation of equipment. We offer a generous benefits package and competitive pay based on experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of proven experience in facilities maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and home rehabilitation.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License; driving record subject to evaluation.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain overall property condition and standards.
• Maintain appearance of common areas and landscaping on campus.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and irrigation issues.
• Address maintenance work orders and complete repairs promptly.
• Conduct regular inspections and implement preventative maintenance.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities and repairs.
• Assist with trash collection and proper disposal of waste.
• Respond to emergencies and follow safety procedures.
