Job summary

Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA is seeking a Facilities Specialist to maintain two locations and oversee ongoing preventative maintenance for facility mechanical, electrical, and other systems. You will coordinate work performed by outside contractors in partnership with the Facilities Manager.

Responsibilities include performing preventive and corrective maintenance, collaborating with other departments, and supporting janitorial staff while ensuring a safe and efficient environment for people

Qualifications

• 2 years minimum maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC-R, carpentry, electrical, masonry and plumbing install/repairs.
• Comprehensive knowledge of motors, small appliances, power and hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facilities to ensure clean, safe and efficient operation.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems.
• Install/modify equipment as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments and coordinate with contractors.
• Escort contractors on site and ensure safety procedures.
