Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a General Maintenance Technician to assist with troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs across commercial buildings and facilities. You will work on machinery, plumbing, electrical systems, roofing, carpentry, and more, ensuring safe, compliant operations.

The role requires 1–3 years of related experience and a valid driver’s license. Daily duties include inspections, preventive maintenance, and responding to emergencies with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

1–3 years of related experience in a commercial property setting.
Technical, vocational or on‑the‑job training in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, process controls, painting, plumbing, carpentry or engine repair.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.
Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel & Word.
May require shift work and/or standby duties.

Responsibilities

Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems.
Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
Replace and repair building finishes and perform painting as needed.
Inspect buildings and equipment for unsafe conditions and perform preventative maintenance.
Maintain and operate fire and life safety systems as assigned.
Respond to emergency situations and customer service requests.
