Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician for a permanent, fully onsite role in Plano, TX. You will handle day-to-day operation, maintenance, and repair of building systems to ensure safety, efficiency, and reliability for tenants and visitors.

Responsibilities include monitoring HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems, performing preventive maintenance, and supporting capital projects. Strong customer service and safety compliance are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3-5 years of commercial building maintenance experience preferred.
• Industry certifications related to HVAC, electrical, mechanical, or maintenance operations are a plus.
• Ability to work overtime, respond to emergencies, and participate in an on-call rotation.
• Reliable transportation with the ability to travel between local properties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and building automation controls.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on building equipment and infrastructure.
• Complete general building maintenance tasks, including lighting, ceilings, flooring, doors, roofing, parking areas, and other facility components.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspections, and work orders.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and respond promptly to after-hours emergencies.
• Support tenant improvement and capital projects by assisting with inspections, system testing, construction coordination, and punch-list activities.
• Collaborate with Property Management and Construction teams to address operational issues, maintenance needs, and budget planning.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
• Provide outstanding customer service by responding to tenant requests and maintaining positive relationships with occupants, vendors, and service partners.
• Attend training programs to enhance technical skills and industry knowledge.

Work Environment

The role operates in Downtown from 8am-5pm, with a requirement to stand, walk, climb ladders, bend, kneel, and work in mechanical spaces. The position involves lifting and moving up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally, with the ability to visually and audibly recognize and respond to emergency situations.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $75000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
