Job summary

EMCOR Group is seeking a General Building Maintenance Technician to uphold the physical integrity of a facility and assist leadership with maintenance responsibilities on-site in a data center environment.

The role covers preventive, corrective, deferred and emergency maintenance, with emphasis on safety and timely completion of tasks, including grounds upkeep and reporting. Strong communication and basic trades skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of general maintenance, carpentry, painting, refurbishing, plumbing, electricity, light HVAC.

Responsibilities

• Effectively communicate
• Conducting all maintenance work, service requests, building inspections and preventative maintenance
• Ensuring that all work has been completed in a safe, prompt and professional manner
• Communicating with managers about demonstrated concerns of the Facility
• Preparing maintenance reports and other job related documentation
• Maintaining inventory of equipment, tools and supplies
• Serving as a role-model for maintenance staff by following all policies and procedures
• Completing additional duties as described by the Building Manager / Client
• Grounds policing
• Light plumbing
• Caulking
• Countertops and cabinets, desk drawers and locks
• Light HVAC
• Interior and exterior doors
• Checks electrical circuits, receptacles, breakers, switches and fuses
