Job summary

JLL in Lansing, MI is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to keep client facilities safe, functional, and well maintained. You will perform lighting, basic plumbing and carpentry, and support operations by maintaining building systems and responding to service requests.

This role involves physical work, outdoor exposure, and a strong commitment to safety, with Maximo CMMS involvement and a 3rd shift.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
Experience with basic building maintenance and repair tasks.
Ability to work outdoors and in mechanical spaces; exposure to extreme weather.
Valid driver's license (if applicable to site requirements).
Strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
Regular and predictable attendance.

Responsibilities

Maintain and replace lighting systems, including bulbs and ballasts.
Perform minor plumbing, carpentry, and general building repairs.
Assist operations team with maintenance of building equipment and systems.
Complete tenant service requests, including hanging pictures and repairing office furniture.
Move office furniture and equipment as needed.
Maintain and manage Maximo routes and enter work orders accurately.
Maintain records of completed work in a neat and organized manner.
Adhere to safety policies for hazardous materials.
