Job summary

cw is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Washington, DC to assist with operation troubleshooting, diagnostics, housekeeping, and repairs on commercial buildings, industrial systems, and equipment across assigned properties.

The role requires 2+ years of related experience and a High School Diploma or GED, plus basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel & Word. Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, safety compliance, and timely tenant-request responses.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related experience in a commercial property setting.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Technical, vocational or on-the-job training in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, painting, plumbing, carpentry or engine repair.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Basic Computing Skills in Outlook, Excel & Word.

Responsibilities

• Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems including plumbing, HVAC, and roofs.
• Clean, lubricate, and service pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, electrical, mechanical devices.
• Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Replace and repair finishes such as ceiling tiles, door hardware, walls, and floors.
• Troubleshoot and recommend upgrades to maintenance operations and savings opportunities.
• Respond to emergency situations and tenant service requests as assigned.
• Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions and carry out preventative maintenance.
• Maintain and operate fire and life safety systems as assigned.
• Wear PPE and comply with safety procedures.
