Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Maintenance Staff Member to ensure mechanical systems and equipment are operational and common areas are clean, disinfected, and aesthetically maintained. The role includes routine floor checks, safety adherence, and collaboration with building staff.

The candidate should have 2 years in building trades, strong communication, and customer service skills. The position is full-time, on-site, with benefits and hourly compensation of $23–$26.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• 2 years general experience in building trades, repair and maintenance.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Multilingual ability is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Routinely walks floors and checks for problems, reporting to supervisors.
• Ensure safety precautions are followed while performing work.
• Maintain good working relationships with building staff.
• Paint common areas and advise on repairs as needed.
• Complete daily work orders as scheduled.
• Maintain equipment in good working condition.
• Perform light carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting, flooring repairs as scheduled.
• Follow safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
• Operate new equipment safely when required.
