The Facilities Maintenance Technician will perform preventive maintenance, inspections, installations, and repairs on all assigned equipment to ensure proper operation and functionality. Responsibilities include maintaining automatic retrieval systems, dock equipment, general building maintenance, light carpentry, painting, changing light bulbs, minor electrical repairs, light plumbing, HVAC, and other facility upkeep tasks. 2nd & 3rd Shift available.

Job Responsibilities Include:

• Perform routine inspections, basic installations, and minor repairs.
• Conduct general building maintenance, including light carpentry, painting, light plumbing, and electrical repairs.
• Participate in departmental on-call programs as assigned.
• Maintain accurate records of work orders and reports for regulatory compliance.
• Process work requests promptly and professionally.
• Use electronic systems to order parts and complete work orders following department procedures.
• Keep tools and equipment clean, safe, and in working order.
• Maintain inventory of parts necessary for duties.
• Keep technical skills and certifications up to date.
• Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE.
• Respond to emergencies to ensure safety.
• Promote safety culture within the department.
• Report safety issues and suggest improvements.
• Comply with OSHA and other regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service and respond professionally to needs.
• Collaborate with leadership to meet organizational goals.
• Adhere to company policies, including attire, grooming, and attendance.
• Participate in committees or focus groups as needed.
• Build effective relationships and demonstrate cooperation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in facility maintenance.
• At least 3 years of experience in HVAC and electrical work.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• Own set of tools for the job.
• Knowledge of computerized preventive maintenance and work order systems.
• Ability to learn relevant software programs.
• Strong technical, mechanical, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and handle stressful situations.

Physical Demands:

• Must tolerate weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
• Ability to reach, lift, climb ladders, crawl, and work in tight or elevated spaces.
• Work environments include maintenance shops, buildings, outdoors, warehouses, coolers, freezers, and noisy areas.
