The Facilities Maintenance Technician will perform preventive maintenance, inspections, installations, and repairs on all assigned equipment to ensure proper operation and function. Responsibilities include maintenance on automatic retrieval systems, dock equipment, general building maintenance, light carpentry, painting, changing light bulbs, minor electrical repairs, light plumbing, HVAC, and other facility upkeep tasks. 2nd & 3rd Shift available.

Job Responsibilities Include:

1. Perform routine inspections, basic installations, and minor repairs.
2. Execute general building maintenance such as light carpentry, painting, light plumbing, changing light bulbs, and minor electrical repairs.
3. Participate in departmental on-call programs.
4. Maintain records like work orders and reports for compliance and documentation.
5. Process work requests and ensure timely completion.
6. Use electronic systems to order parts and manage work orders.
7. Maintain tools and equipment in safe, working condition.
8. Manage inventory of parts required for duties.
9. Keep technical skills and certifications up to date.
10. Follow safety protocols and wear PPE.
11. Respond to emergencies to ensure safety.
12. Promote safety culture and report hazards.
13. Comply with OSHA and other regulations.
14. Provide excellent customer service and collaborate with team members.
15. Adhere to company policies including dress code and attendance.
16. Participate in committees or focus groups as needed.
17. Build effective relationships and cooperate across teams.
18. Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience Requirements:

1. High school diploma or GED.
2. At least 3 years of facility maintenance experience.
3. Experience with HVAC and electrical systems.
4. Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
5. Own set of tools.
6. Familiarity with computerized maintenance and work order systems.
7. Strong technical, mechanical, and problem-solving skills.
8. Ability to read instructions and communicate effectively.
9. Capable of handling stressful situations professionally.

Physical Demands:

1. Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions.
2. Ability to reach, lift, climb, crawl, and work in tight or elevated spaces.
3. Work environments include maintenance shops, outside, warehouses, coolers, freezers, and noisy areas.
4. Exposure to various temperatures, weather, oil, grease, and noise.
