Job summary

FirstService Residential in Highland Beach, FL is seeking a Maintenance Staff Member to ensure that mechanical systems and equipment are operational and common areas are clean, disinfected, and visually appealing. The candidate will perform carpentry, electrical, plumbing and general maintenance tasks, with a focus on safety, teamwork, and customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• 2 years general building trades/maintenance experience.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Multilingual abilities are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Walk floors and roofs to identify problems and report to supervisors.
• Ensure safety precautions are followed.
• Maintain good working relationships with building staff.
• Paint common areas and touch up as needed; inspect areas needing paint.
• Complete daily work orders as scheduled.
• Maintain equipment in good working order.
• Assist with lifting heavy items and follow safety procedures.
• Perform minor maintenance in carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting, flooring and other repairs via work orders.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
• Operate new equipment safely and learn procedures before use.
