Job summary

Bigge Crane and Rigging Co. in Pearland, Texas, is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the Facilities department with hands-on upkeep of building systems.

You will troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, access control, and overhead cranes; coordinate preventative maintenance; monitor safety compliance; and travel to other Bigge locations as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 10+ years of advanced skill in Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, or Access Control Systems.
• Ability to communicate maintenance needs and project future needs.
• Must lift 50 lbs.
• Must sustain heights up to 25 feet (using ladders).
• Must be able to operate a company vehicle safely.
• Basic computer skills with moderate proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Some overtime is required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain facilities systems, including HVAC, lighting, plumbing, access control systems, and overhead cranes.
• Perform reactive and scheduled preventative maintenance for facilities such as filters, pits, and septic tanks.
• Manage and perform all preventative maintenance on facilities’ equipment.
• Inform management of the status of repairs
• Control inventory levels for maintenance supplies and equipment
• Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe conditions.
• Work with HSE to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and NEC.
• This position requires occasional overnight travel to other Bigge locations
• Perform work at elevated heights when necessary.
• Operate a forklift.
• Can provide on-call services as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Overview

This position serves as general maintenance and administrative support to the Facilities department in our Pearland, Texas office.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Advanced skill set in one or more of the following areas: Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, and Access Control Systems (10+ years preferred)
• Ability to communicate maintenance needs and project future needs.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be able to sustain heights (using ladders) up to 25 feet.
• Must be able to operate a company vehicle safely.
• Basic computer skills with moderate proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Some overtime is required.
