The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the overall integrity of the facility through routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and general repairs. This role supports day-to-day facility operations and ensures the environment remains safe, clean, and functional for all personnel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Performing basic plumbing repairs in restrooms and break areas,
Perform patching and painting drywall.
Perform regular changing of air filters.
Address minor issues with doors, hardware, lighting, and interior finishes.
Assist with building upkeep both inside and outside
Ensuring that all areas meet operational and safety standards.
Document completed work, communicate clearly with the team, and escalate any urgent issues or safety concerns directly to the Facilities Manager.
Perform scheduled PMs and corrective work orders assigned through a CMMS system.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
At least 2 years of experience required in general facility maintenance or a related field.
Ability to use basic hand and power tools.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50lbs).
Standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
