Job Title: Maintenance Facilities Technician

Location: Clarksville, TN

Jostens is seeking a qualified Facilities Maintenance Technician with extensive experience in facilities upkeep, including building, equipment, and general systems. The technician works independently or as part of a team to perform maintenance and repairs such as interior and exterior work, plumbing, basic electrical, carpentry, painting, assembling/disassembling equipment, office furniture, and HVAC support.

This role requires broad knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, HVAC, water, and other systems. Responsibilities include repairs and parts ordering for failed components, providing detailed descriptions and specifications for outsourced parts, coordinating with external vendors, assisting with equipment installation, and training others in preventive maintenance.

The technician also supports building modifications, ensures compliance with safety and environmental regulations, manages emergency on-call duties, prioritizes tasks based on safety and production needs, and stays updated on new technologies and regulations.

Qualifications:
  • High School Degree or GED required.
  • Two-year Degree or Diploma in Industrial Maintenance, Machinist, Metal Fabrication, or similar from Technical or Trade School a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Facilities Maintenance Technician.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial machinery and troubleshooting in Mechanical, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints.
  • Experience with welding (MIG, TIG, Arc, Oxy-Acetylene) and brazing.
  • Proficiency with measuring devices (Micrometer, Dial Caliper, etc.).
  • Knowledge of drilling, threading, broaching, and keyways.
  • Experience with machine installation, rigging, and use of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, aerial lifts, and boom lifts safely.
  • Skill in disassembling machines and repairing pumps, cylinders, gearboxes, and clutches.
  • Experience in preventive maintenance.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Team player with a helpful disposition and sense of urgency.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, overtime, and respond to emergencies.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. and maintain excellent attendance.
