Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Full-time Facilities Technician at Navicent Health Medical Center to perform maintenance on facility and equipment. You will document work in CMMS, perform preventive tasks, and respond to emergencies as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and basic computer skills; candidate should be able to read blueprints and life safety drawings and work with minimal supervision in a busy healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Certification and/or training in a skill/trade/equipment/system applicable to the job.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Performs facility and equipment maintenance in accordance with applicable codes and standards. Documents through use of the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Conducts preventive maintenance tasks and repairs on basic facility systems such as plumbing, medical gas, fire alarm, HVAC and electrical systems.
• Manage response and repairs associated with emergencies such as leaks, floods, water outages, fires, power outages, equipment failures, etc.
• Reads blueprints, Life Safety drawings and maintenance manuals to gain knowledge needed to complete assignments.
