Nordstrom, Inc. in Portland, OR is seeking a Maintenance Tech 2 to execute a preventative maintenance program and troubleshoot building and material handling systems.

You will support Operations by designing maintenance solutions and helping develop plans to meet department goals. Responsibilities include safe operation, troubleshooting conveyors and electrical systems, maintaining relay logic and PLCs, leading preventative maintenance, assisting in training, closing work orders with labor hours

Qualifications

• At least 3+ years of experience with conveyors, electrical systems, & building maintenance.
• Advanced knowledge of operation and repair of material handling equipment.
• Advanced knowledge of power tools, pneumatic, or hydraulic tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of controls systems & PLCs.
• Robotics knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Champion a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair material handling systems & conveyors and related equipment.
• Maintain and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components and sensors.
• Safely operate forklifts, lifts and hand tools for system support tasks.
• Lead preventative maintenance procedures and assist training plans.
• Create and close out work orders with labor hours and parts used.
• Collaborate across departments to support Nordstrom facility goals.
