Job summary

Nordstrom is seeking a Maintenance Tech 2 in Portland, OR to execute preventative maintenance and diagnose repairs on building and material handling systems. The role supports the Operations team by designing maintenance solutions and leading maintenance tasks.

A focus on safety and teamwork is essential. Responsibilities include troubleshooting conveyors, electrical controls, and PLCs, while leading preventative maintenance and training for service technicians.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with conveyors, electrical systems and building maintenance.
• Advanced knowledge of operation and repair of material handling equipment.
• Basic knowledge of controls systems & PLCs (preferred).
• Robotics knowledge (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following safety procedures.
• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair material handling systems and conveyors.
• Diagnose electrical and control systems using test equipment.
• Maintain relay logic, ladder diagrams and control components.
• Safely operate forklifts and lifts to perform system support tasks.
• Lead preventative maintenance procedures and assist in training.
• Create and close work orders with labor hours, parts and durations.
