Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician I to help maintain a safe, well‑kept store environment.

You will perform basic preventive maintenance on buildings, systems, and grounds, under supervision, with knowledge across carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating and cooling. You’ll complete maintenance records, perform inspections, assist with troubleshooting, and support emergency responses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with at least 1 year of related experience or training.
• Basic working knowledge in multiple trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating and cooling.
• Ability to read and follow manuals, circuit diagrams, blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day preventive maintenance and on-demand requests on buildings and systems.
• Complete maintenance records accurately and timely.
• Inspect facilities and assist with basic repairs and troubleshooting.
• Maintain lighting, fixtures, and replace bulbs as needed.
• Provide prompt customer service and respond to emergencies per safety rules.
