Job summary

Nordstrom is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician I to help deliver a safe and well-maintained store environment. You will perform general preventive maintenance of buildings, equipment, and grounds, under close supervision, across multiple Nordstrom Stores and Nordstrom Rack locations in the business node.

The role requires basic trade skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling, plus the ability to read schematics and blueprints and to respond to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, with at least one year related experience or training.
• Ability to understand and follow directions and work with Facilities Manager or lead Technician.
• Basic PC skills for work order systems, email, and training (Microsoft Office).

Responsibilities

• Perform daily preventive maintenance and on-demand requests from Sales Floor with accurate records.
• Conduct daily inspections and building rounds.
• Troubleshoot and repair basic building systems (plumbing, roofs, HVAC, electrical, lighting).
• Maintain lighting systems and replace bulbs/lamps as needed.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints for troubleshooting.
• Follow safety rules and use LOTO, PPE, and fall protection; report safety concerns.
