Job summary

Walmart seeks a facilities maintenance leader in Huntsville, AL to oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other critical systems across complex facilities. You will evaluate project needs, manage budgets, and ensure energy efficiency through preventive maintenance and SOPs.

This role drives energy and cost reductions, leads cross-functional teams, and ensures compliance with federal and state regulations while delivering reliable, safe operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field and 3 years’ experience in facilities management, construction management, mechanical maintenance, engineering, or related area.
• OR 5 years’ experience in facilities management, construction management, mechanical maintenance, engineering, or related area.
• EPA 608 Certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Directs maintenance and service operations for facility systems ensuring energy efficiency and safety.
• Oversees sustainability initiatives and EPA compliance with vendors and contractors.
• Manages complex projects, budgets, and approval of material requisitions and invoices.
• Directs regional field operations, tracks preventive maintenance, and monitors contractor performance.
• Ensures regulatory compliance and implements continuous improvement programs.

Education
