Job summary

Orange-Ulster BOCES is seeking a maintenance supervisor to manage care and maintenance of school facilities, grounds, and equipment in the Town of Goshen, NY. You will schedule, train, and supervise maintenance staff and coordinate with vendors.

The role requires lead responsibilities for building systems and emergency responses. The position emphasizes planning preventative maintenance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and directing snow and ice operations.

Qualifications

• A regionally accredited degree or higher in Building Construction, Electrical Construction and Maintenance, Plumbing and Heating Technology or related field with three years of skilled maintenance experience and one year directing/overseeing others.
• Trade school certification in building construction, electrical construction and maintenance, heating and plumbing with four years of related experience and one year directing/overseeing others.
• High school diploma and five years of related maintenance experience with one year directing/overseeing others.

Responsibilities

• Prepares schedules and daily work assignments for staff to ensure full shift coverage of facilities.
• Oversees operation and maintenance of building mechanical systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
• Coordinates with outside vendors and ensures compliance with budget and regulations.
• Schedules snow and ice control and emergency repairs, including plowing and salting operations.
