Job summary

The Andrews, located on the Bowery in Manhattan, seeks a Facility Maintenance Supervisor, Programs to lead daily operations of the maintenance and housekeeping team. The role ensures a safe, clean, and well-maintained living environment for residents, coordinating with contractors and city agencies as needed.

Reporting to the Assistant Director, Facility Maintenance, you will oversee work orders, inspections, and unit turnover, while maintaining compliance with all applicable codes and safety

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or Trade School Certification
• Minimum 3 years in building trades or related field
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Experience with Maintenance Connection or CMMS required
• Proficiency in MS Office and related property management tools
• Mandatory: current fire safety certifications and obtaining within 30 days

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day building functions and supervise maintenance and housekeeping staff
• Oversee building systems and coordinate with contractors and city agencies
• Dispatch, verify, and document work performed via work order system
• Prepare for annual inspections by DHS, DOH, DOB, FDNY and others
• Address tenant maintenance concerns and respond to emergencies
• Maintain logs for inspections and compliance with codes
