Job summary

BRC in New York, NY is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to manage assigned maintenance staff, ensure cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, and oversee repairs across carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical tasks.

You will assist the Facility Manager with preventative maintenance of boiler and hot water systems, inspect safety systems, coordinate with outside contractors, and participate in fire safety drills.

Qualifications

• Five years' experience in building maintenance.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certificate of fitness for Fire Safety Director preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Vaccination preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise assigned maintenance staff and oversee repairs as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of interior and exterior of facility.
• Assist Facility Manager with boiler/domestic hot water system maintenance.
• Inspect elevators, sprinkler systems, fire alarms, and extinguishers.
• Arrange and oversee external contractors as directed.
• Receive and store maintenance/office deliveries.
• Be a member of the fire safety team and participate in drills.
• On-call for emergencies; may require early/late hours.
• Handle related duties as assigned.
