Title: Facilities Maintenance Manager
Location: North Hollywood, CA
Type: Direct Hire
Schedule: 1st shift
Pay: $97,000 - $127,000/Year + Annual Cash Incentive Plan Bonus
Position Summary:
- The Facilities Maintenance Manager is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the safe, secure, and environmentally sound operations and maintenance of the entire facility, focusing on cost-effectiveness, long-term preservation, and preventive maintenance.
- Oversees the maintenance team, assigns workload, delegates tasks, trains staff, and reviews work performance for quality and accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise, train, and manage the maintenance team daily.
- Manage various facilities projects and vendors for a corporate headquarters, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and attention to detail.
- Specify and purchase mechanical parts needed for repairs and modifications.
- Coordinate with contractors and act as liaison with clients.
- Inspect and review work for quality, accuracy, and completeness.
- Partner with EH&S to develop a preventative maintenance program.
- Establish and enforce mechanical preventative maintenance schedules.
- Plan for future development aligned with strategic business goals.
- Lead preventative maintenance to minimize disruption to operations.
- Manage central services such as maintenance, security, cleaning, catering, and waste disposal.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Optimize space and resource utilization.
- Verify that work by staff or contractors is completed satisfactorily and address deficiencies.
- Respond to emergencies or urgent issues promptly.
- Calculate and compare costs to ensure value for money.
- Apply performance management techniques to demonstrate achievement of Lean System practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Travel and/or driving requirements: 5-10%.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Strong administrative skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and meet critical deadlines.
- Experience with electrical systems.
- Customer-focused approach to safety issues.
- Experience with lean and continuous improvement activities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in PC skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Problem-solving skills, flexibility, and ability to think creatively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Office / Sedentary Requirements:
- Must be able to perform essential functions.
- Work primarily in an office environment.
- Ability to sit for extended periods, hear the telephone, enter data, and lift up to 10 pounds.
Manufacturing / Non-Sedentary Requirements:
- Must be able to perform essential functions.
- Work may include office or warehouse environments.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb for 66%+ of the workday.
- May be exposed to dust and able to lift/push up to 50 pounds 33-66% of the time.
