Position Purpose:
The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Engineering Department on the North and South Campus in accordance with the overall vision and mission of the Hospital. Assures staff adherence to all department policies and procedures. Maintains logs and completes reports related to areas of responsibility.
What you will do:
Supervising the operations of the North and South Campus Engineering teams to ensure the quality of services provided.
Establishing work schedule and assignment, monitoring, and reviewing the work of departmental personnel to ensure productivity standards are maintained.
Demonstrates effective leadership techniques as indicated by productivity and morale of Department employees.
Suggesting changes in operation according to Hospital policy and timeframes.
Monitors operating statistics for the Department adjusting staffing, supplies, or capital expenditures as needed.
Implementing at least two Department programs, projects, or changes annually that promote productivity, enhance services, and/or increase staff awareness of the need to control healthcare costs.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School graduate or equivalent.
Two to four (2-4) years in a maintenance management position, hospital experience preferred.
Licensed in one of the building trades preferred.
Complete understanding of building systems and boiler plants. Must be able to organize work and direct a wide range of personnel.
Must practice effective interpersonal skills.
