Position Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Manager is a hands-on leader responsible for the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of the Pro Football Hall of Fame facility, ensuring all systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulations. This role focuses on performing advanced maintenance tasks, managing preventative maintenance programs, and coordinating repairs, while providing guidance to one direct report and collaborating with other departments to support events.

A Day in the Life

  • Actively perform advanced maintenance and repairs on building systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other critical infrastructure.
  • Demonstrate strong proficiency in HVAC systems to ensure efficient operations, maintain optimal performance, and provide a comfortable environment for artifacts, guests, and employees.
  • Operate and monitor the Building Management System (BMS), managing air handling units, exhaust fans, thermostats, VAV boxes, kitchen hoods, boilers, chillers, cooling units, hot water heaters, pumps, osmosis systems, humidifiers, and A/C units for IT rooms.
  • Plan and execute daily maintenance activities to ensure seamless operation of the facility and campus.
  • Provide hands-on support for all Hall of Fame events, including Hall of Fame Weekend, working closely with the Operations Team to manage power, water, and other requirements.
  • Lead all work orders and assign work to others depending on skill.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections to identify maintenance needs, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and address issues proactively.
  • Manage an inventory of tools, materials, and supplies, maintaining accurate records for maintenance activities, work orders, and inspections.
  • Take calls for after-hours and weekend maintenance issues, prioritizing responses and coordinating solutions as needed to address urgent equipment malfunctions or facility-related emergencies.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans to enhance equipment longevity and operational efficiency.
  • Guide and support one direct report, ensuring maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and to high standards.

Are you up for the challenge? Here are qualifications we are searching for:

  • Extensive experience in building maintenance, with demonstrated expertise in hands-on repair work.
  • Strong proficiency in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other building systems, with a particular emphasis on HVAC competency.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and drive a truck and trailer.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move safety equipment and tools.
  • Proficiency in using computers for inventory management, BMS operation, and record-keeping.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills to guide one direct report and collaborate with other departments.

Schedule and Benefit Highlights

  • This is a full-time position with a Monday through Friday schedule, with the responsibility to provide support and coverage during special events and manage after-hours and weekend maintenance needs through call-based coordination.
