About Cedarhurst
Cedarhurst, a regional healthcare provider and true friend of older adults, seeks a service-minded, career-oriented individual to join our team as a Maintenance Director at our Home Office in St. Louis, MO.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, support, and coordinate contracted housekeeping personnel as required by the office & tenant needs.
- Maintain all areas inside the building at the highest cleanliness standards, including routine & deep cleaning of carpets, flooring, windows, furniture.
- Maintain grounds, including exterior repair, lawn maintenance, and waste removal in cooperation with contractors.
- Implement and document preventative maintenance programs for the facility and equipment.
- Refurbish office areas, including patching, painting, replacing carpets, installing fixtures, and hanging artwork.
- Maintain fire safety and emergency records, procedures, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
- Inspect tenant suites for hazards, perform repairs, and report updates to Management.
- Schedule and perform preventative maintenance, keeping quality assurance records.
- Use building management software to document and track maintenance activities.
- Perform repairs on janitorial equipment and building facilities.
- Communicate effectively with tenants and staff regarding maintenance activities and issues.
- Order supplies and equipment for maintenance needs.
- Engage with tenants, coworkers, and vendors professionally, including conflict resolution when needed.
- Respond to security alerts and monitor security systems.
- Be available for urgent issues outside of normal hours and arrange coverage when away.
- Support other company entities as assigned.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of related experience or accredited maintenance training.
- Applicable licensure or certification as required.
- Skills in carpentry, drywall repair, painting, plumbing, troubleshooting.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and construction principles.
- Understanding of Life Safety systems and emergency protocols.
- Proficiency in internet browsers, Microsoft Office, and building maintenance software like TELS.
