Job summary

CommonSail Investment Group is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead our facilities operations across multiple sites. You will supervise maintenance staff, manage workloads, schedules, and budgets, and ensure compliance with building codes while delivering reliable, quality service to residents and clients.

You will develop and implement maintenance policies, evaluate contractors, train staff, enforce safety, and keep detailed records.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills required.
• Knowledge of building maintenance practices, tools, and safety standards.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, problem solving abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership; ability to train staff and manage under pressure.
• Organized with attention to detail and adherence to client directions.

Responsibilities

• Supervises maintenance staff by determining workloads and schedules.
• Evaluates staff and makes hiring or termination recommendations; motivates staff.
• Maintains facilities in accordance with local and state building codes.
• Manages maintenance departments in terms of cost, methods and staffing; budgets and plans.
• Provides technical knowledge for projects; prepares service estimates and manages project budgets.
• Develops and implements policies with President to set departmental goals.
• Negotiates sub-contractor contracts and inspects work for safety and procedures.
• Ensures preventative maintenance is carried out on a schedule and maintains records.
• Builds effective relationships with employees, vendors and the public.
• Aims for continual improvement of the organization.
