Job summary

CommonSail Investment Group is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the facilities maintenance team and drive reliable, compliant operations across our sites. The role emphasizes supervision, budgeting, safety, and continuous improvement within a dynamic environment.

The position requires strong leadership, extensive maintenance knowledge, and the ability to train staff while ensuring high standards of quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate strong leadership abilities and ability to train staff on policies and responsibilities.
• Considerable knowledge of maintenance practices, methods, and techniques for buildings and facilities.
• Good written and verbal communication skills with solid problem-solving abilities.
• Capable of enforcing safety regulations and working under pressure.
• Highly organized with scheduling and record-keeping responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervises maintenance staff by determining workloads and schedules.
• Evaluates staff and makes hiring/termination recommendations; motivates staff to provide quality service.
• Maintains facilities in compliance with local and state building codes.
• Manages maintenance departments with cost control, staffing, and work plans; adheres to budgets and schedules.
• Provides technical knowledge for maintenance projects; prepares service estimates and maintains project budgets.
• Develops and implements policies with the President to achieve departmental goals.
• negotiates subcontractor contracts and inspects work to ensure safety and procedures.
• Ensures preventative maintenance is performed on a scheduled basis and maintains maintenance records.
