Job summary

CommonSail Investment Group is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team, schedule workloads, and enforce safety standards across facilities in multiple locations. The role emphasizes budgeting, vendor coordination, and hands-on project support.

Qualifications

• State Builder’s License and HVAC certification preferred; Valid driver’s license required (no restrictions).
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Strong knowledge of building maintenance practices, tools, and safety standards.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities; ability to train staff.
• Ability to work under pressure, enforce safety regulations, and maintain schedules.

Responsibilities

• Supervises maintenance staff by determining workloads and schedules.
• Evaluates staff and makes hiring or termination recommendations; motivate staff to provide quality service.
• Maintains facilities in compliance with local and state building codes.
• Manages cost, methods, and staffing; ensures budgets and schedules are met.
• Provides technical knowledge for maintenance projects and assists when needed.
• Prepares estimates and maintains project budgets; reports on work order performance.
• Develops policies with leadership and oversees contractor sub-work for safety.
• Ensures preventative maintenance is scheduled and records kept; evaluates equipment replacement needs.
• Fosters effective relationships with staff, vendors, and the public.
• Supports continual improvement across the organization.
