Job summary

CommonSail Investment Group is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead a facilities team and ensure reliable operations across our properties. The role covers scheduling, budgeting, and supervising maintenance activities while upholding safety standards and client requirements.

You will coordinate contractors and drive improvements in maintenance practices. You will manage workloads, train staff, and ensure compliance with applicable codes.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills required for daily operations and record keeping.
• Extensive knowledge of building maintenance methods, tools, and safety standards.
• Excellent written and spoken communication with staff and clients.
• Proven leadership with ability to train staff on policies and responsibilities.
• Capable of enforcing safety regulations and working under pressure.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and recordkeeping.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance staff; assign workloads and schedules.
• Evaluate staff, hire/terminate recommendations, and motivate the team.
• Maintain facilities per local/state building codes and budgets.
• Oversee maintenance departments; ensure cost control and staffing levels.
• Provide technical knowledge for projects; prepare service estimates and budgets.
• Develop policies with leadership and ensure contractor compliance.
• Ensure preventative maintenance and maintain equipment records.
• Foster relationships with staff, vendors, and the public; drive continual improvement.
