Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Maintenance Manager in Panama City Beach, FL to own the physical plant, supervise maintenance staff, and manage repairs and preventive maintenance across trades. You will coordinate with contractors, schedule work, and ensure safety and high standards of building operations.

The role requires strong problem solving, leadership, and hands-on maintenance skills, with on-call duties and potential travel for training and company functions.

Qualifications

• Experience with building management systems and controls.
• Critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to handle sensitive and/or confidential information.
• Maintains positivity and diplomacy in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong maintenance and repair skills across trades.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, trains and directs maintenance staff through work orders.
• Plans, monitors, and appraises job results; coaches and disciplines employees.
• Assesses repair needs and estimated time for repair; evaluates if specialist help is needed.
• Monitors service and repair contractors; ensures work is compliant.
• Maintains maintenance supplies inventories and ordering.
• Runs preventive/reactive maintenance programs and records.
• On-call availability for emergencies and projects as assigned by property manager.
• Schedules and allocates work to meet shift requirements.
• Ensures safety procedures and maintains a safe work environment.
• Oversees building repairs across carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and related tasks.
