The Arc Ocean County Chapter is seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance across multiple Ocean County facilities in New Jersey. This full-time role combines hands-on building work with staff supervision and property operations, coordinating repairs, assignments, and safety across locations.

Ideal candidates will have strong carpentry, plumbing, and electrical skills, plus leadership experience guiding maintenance teams and coordinating projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of professional maintenance or facilities management experience.
• Minimum two (2) years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge in carpentry, plumbing, electrical repairs, and general building maintenance.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid New Jersey driver's license in good standing with no more than five (5) points.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple assignments.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and landscaping machinery.
• Ability to communicate professionally with staff, vendors, and program locations.

Responsabilités

• Organize maintenance assignments across agency locations and facilities.
• Direct maintenance staff and monitor progress of tasks.
• Ensure maintenance projects are completed safely and efficiently.
• Evaluate incoming maintenance needs and prioritize work by urgency and impact.
• Coordinate ongoing property maintenance to minimize program disruptions.
• Address routine and complex facility issues involving building systems, equipment, and repairs.
• Coordinate landscaping, groundskeeping, and exterior maintenance across locations.
• Prepare repair estimates and submit invoices per procedures.
• Communicate with vendors and agency locations about maintenance needs and progress.
• Maintain organized communication and documentation of maintenance activities.
• Respond to urgent building concerns as part of on-call rotation.
