Job summary

CommonSail Investment Group is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a maintenance team and ensure building and facility upkeep in our communities. You will schedule workloads, manage budgets, and oversee safety and quality standards across multiple locations.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and hands-on expertise in building maintenance. This on-site position emphasizes reliable, organized management and dedication to safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• State Builder's License and HVAC certification preferred; Valid driver's license required (no restrictions).
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Considerable knowledge of building and facilities maintenance and repair; knowledge of tools and equipment used in trades; safety standards.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; sound problem solving skills.
• Demonstrate strong leadership abilities; ability to train staff on policies and responsibilities.
• Must work well under pressure and enforce safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervises maintenance staff by determining workloads and schedules.
• Evaluates staff and makes hiring or termination recommendations; manages and motivates staff to provide quality service.
• Maintains established facilities in accordance with local and state building codes.
• Manages activities of all maintenance departments in terms of cost, methods, and staffing; sets budgets and schedules.
• Provides technical knowledge for maintenance projects; prepares service estimates and maintains budgets.
• Develops and implements policies with leadership to achieve departmental goals.
• Negotiates subcontractor contracts and inspects work for safety and procedures.
