Job summary

CommonSail Investment Group is seeking a Maintenance and Housekeeping Manager to lead our facilities maintenance program across locations. You will supervise maintenance staff, plan workloads, and ensure adherence to budgets and schedules.

The role requires strong leadership, safety compliance, and ability to train staff. You will coordinate with vendors, prepare service estimates, and maintain records while upholding client requirements.

Qualifications

• State Builder’s License and HVAC certification preferred; Valid driver’s license required (no restrictions).
• Basic computer skills are required
• Considerable knowledge of maintenance and repair methods; skills with tools and safety standards.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; sound problem solving abilities.
• Demonstrate strong leadership abilities; ability to train staff on policies and responsibilities.
• Maintenance Director must work well under pressure and enforce safety regulations.
• Very organized; able to manage schedules and records and follow client directions.

Responsibilities

• Supervises maintenance staff by determining workloads and schedules.
• Evaluates staff and makes hiring or termination recommendations; motivates staff to provide quality service.
• Maintains facilities in accordance with local/state building codes.
• Manages maintenance dept budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.
• Provides technical knowledge for maintenance projects and assists when needed; prepares service estimates and monitors project budgets.
• Develops policies and procedures with President to achieve departmental goals.
• Negotiates sub-contractor contracts and inspects work for safety compliance.
• Ensures preventive maintenance is carried out and equipment records are kept; evaluates equipment durability and value.
• Establishes and maintains relationships with employees, vendors, and the public.
• Aims for continual improvement of the overall organization.
