Responsibilities

• Supervises maintenance staff by determining workloads and schedules.
• Evaluates staff and makes hiring or termination recommendations; motivates staff to provide quality service.
• Maintains facilities per local/state building codes.
• Manages maintenance departments with regard to cost, methods, staffing; adheres to budgets and schedules.
• Provides knowledge for maintenance projects; prepares service estimates and maintains project budgets.
• Develops policies with leadership to meet departmental goals.
• Negotiates sub-contractor contracts and inspects work for safety and procedures.
• Ensures preventative maintenance and keeps maintenance records; evaluates equipment durability and value.
• Fosters effective relationships with employees, vendors, and the public.
• Aims for continual improvement of the organization.
