Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling in Akron, OH is seeking a Maintenance Laborer to perform the general upkeep of the maintenance facility grounds and assist in various lines of business. The role involves operating tools and maintaining equipment while ensuring safety and efficiency on-site.

You will support shop operations, interact with customers, and participate in routine cleaning, painting, and minor repairs as part of a dynamic maintenance team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facility grounds and surrounding areas including shop cleaning and general housekeeping.
• Operate various hand-held tools and equipment.
• Ensure safe operation of assigned equipment and tools per regulations.
• Pressure-wash and perform minor repairs to shop tools, bins, and containers.
• Assist with general housekeeping of maintenance shops and offices.
• Perform minor repairs and general upkeep of the maintenance facility.
• Clean, prepare, and paint containers as needed.
• Interact professionally with internal and external customers.
• Assist with other lines of business as needed.
