Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling is seeking General Laborers to support facility grounds upkeep and maintenance across our Ohio operations. You will mow, trim, clean, and assist with custodial tasks, while operating hand tools and equipment and helping with waste carts and bins.

Ideal candidates are reliable, able to read English, and capable of working outdoors in varying conditions. Nights and weekends may be required. Rumpke offers competitive pay and a broad benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience using hand tools and equipment.
• Ability to read and understand English for safety training.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facility grounds including mowing, trimming, and picking up trash.
• Operate various hand-held manual, electrical and gas-powered tools and equipment.
• Maintain the safe operating condition of equipment and tools per policy/OSHA.
• Assist with organization and distribution of waste carts and bins.
• Perform safety-conscious driving while transporting, loading, and unloading containers and bins.
• Assist with general housekeeping of maintenance shops and offices.
• Perform minor repairs and upkeep of facilities.
• Clean, prepare, and paint containers.
• Build, repair, and install erosion control measures.
• Interact professionally with internal and external customers.
• Pressure-wash and repair waste carts and portable rest rooms as needed.
