Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling is seeking a Maintenance Laborer to support upkeep of the maintenance facility grounds and related tasks. You will perform shop cleaning, oil spill response, parts pickup, and general housekeeping while ensuring safe operation of tools and equipment.

The role requires ability to work outdoors in changing temperatures, lift up to 100 lbs occasionally, and work nights/weekends as needed. We value safety and a strong work ethic.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facility grounds and surrounding areas, including shop cleaning and general housekeeping.
• Operate various hand-held tools and equipment.
• Ensure safe operating condition of equipment and tools per rules and regulations.
• Pressure-wash and perform minor repairs to shop tools and bins.
• Assist with general upkeep of maintenance shops and offices.
• Interact professionally with internal and external customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
