Job summary

Life Time Inc. in Burr Ridge, IL is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Engineer who will inspect, maintain, and repair building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, boilers, and pool systems to keep the facility safe and fully operational.

You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and document work in a CMMS, while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and supporting overall guest experience.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years in facilities or building maintenance, or engineering.
• Boiler Operator / Stationary Engineer license (state-specific).
• EPA CFC / HVAC certification.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or Aquatic Facilities Operator (AFO).
• Ability to lift 20+ lbs and perform physical maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, boiler, and pool systems.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure safe, efficient operation of building systems.
• Monitor and maintain water chemistry, filtration, and temperature controls for pools.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including fire and life safety systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and perform emergency repairs; maintain detailed CMMS records.
• Support facility appearance and functionality to enhance member and guest experience.
