Facilities Maintenance Supervisor

Salary Range: $29.00 - $47.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Understands and adheres to safety requirements within the department and company.
  • Responsible for all assigned asset equipment related to facilities.
  • Responsible for the supervision of facilities staff including hiring, evaluating, training, and developing assigned staff.
  • Strong leadership in safety, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Work with contractors, developers, and city officials for remodels and new construction.
  • Responsible to help management with security, housekeeping, and safety.
  • Responsible for ensuring all grounds are kept to company standards at all times.
  • Work with little to no supervision.
  • Employees are expected to follow instructions, procedures, and to escalate any issue impacting workflow, quality, etc.
  • Employees must exhibit honesty and integrity as well as demonstrate adherence to rules, procedures, and policies.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises 6 to 10 employees. Responsibilities include training, planning, assigning, directing work, addressing complaints, and resolving problems in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be self‑motivated, with knowledge and skills to organize, plan, and prioritize.
  • Expert in all phases of facility repairs in construction, remodeling, and maintenance of buildings and grounds.
Desired Qualifications
  • 10+ years in building maintenance with 5+ years in supervision.
Education & Experience

Education: Bachelor's degree (BA/BS/BFA/BSA) from a four‑year college or university is required, plus additional related experience, training, and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Major: Engineering

Minimum Years of Experience: 10+ years

Language Skills

Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and/or governmental regulations in English. Must be able to write analytical and/or technical reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals, and create instructional reference material. Able to speak effectively before groups, customers, employees of the organization and/or the general public.

Mathematical Skills

Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. May need to compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and to draw and interpret graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Must have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Must be able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions such as mathematical and/or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
