Software Test Engineer 2 Salary Range: $37.00 - $56.00/ Hr.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Creates detailed software test plans designed to cover both validation and verification of a new or modified software feature.
- Develops automated software test scripts.
- Researches and reports all software anomalies in bug tracking software.
- Researches software issues and communicates them effectively to internal customers.
- Releases standard and emergency software versions.
- Researches parameter and setting updates by interviewing programmers, electrical and mechanical engineers, service, and applications staff, also by running tests on machines using new software features.
- Creates test methods and test plans for testing of firmware. This may include the creation of new software test tools.
- Present ideas relating to software testing or other issues clearly, using Microsoft Office applications when appropriate.
- Employees are expected to follow instructions, procedures and to escape any issue impacting workflow, quality, etc.
- Employees must exhibit honesty and integrity as well as demonstrate adherence to rules, procedures and policies.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Experience with a scripting language.
- Comfortable working in Windows and Linux environments.
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of common testing methodologies.
- Experience reading technical documentation.
- Experience working with version control.
- Experience in automating a task with a scripting language.
Education
Bachelor's Degree BA/BS/BFA/BSA from a four‑year college or university is required, plus additional related experience, training and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
